A study of various religions in our world as they compare with Christianity. A study of major Christian denominations and Lutheran church bodies as they compare in doctrine and practice with the Church of the Lutheran Confession. 

The pattern of God's saving love in Christ as displayed in the lives of His people and recorded in the Old Testament. The course covers the time period from Creation to the end of King David’s reign. Memorization of passages and selected psalms.

Religion 408 is a systematic  study of Christian teachings (doctrines), showing their Biblical foundation and their application to the Christian life. Subject matter studied in 408 second semester includes sanctification, the means of grace, Law and Gospel, the sacraments, the church, election, and eschatology.
